Rue Fontaine, Yves-Gomezée (B ground of RFC Somzée, formerly US Yvetoise / RUS Yvetoise / B ground of US Walcourt / US Thy-le-Château)

Belgium, province: Namur = Namen

16 I 2022 / RFC Somzée B - R Excelsior FC Moustier B 0-2 / Friendly

Note: US Yvetoise, founded in 1942 (matricule 3424), took part in Namur's provincial leagues for just one season before folding - the matricule being erased from the Belgian FA's official lists on January 1st, 1944. A successor club saw the daylight just after the war, bearing the same name, but with a new matricule (4681). This 'new' US Yvetoise acquired the royal epithet in 1999, becoming RUS Yvetoise. After the 2008/2009 season, all the club's senior and youth teams were withdrawn; and their matricule was erased from the Belgian Football Association's official lists one year later, as Yvetoise was absorbed into US Walcourt. For the eight following years (2010-18), the ground was used by US Walcourt for lower team football and training purposes, thereby sparing the pitch of their own Stade Spayemont. In 2018-19, US Walcourt allowed US Thy-le-Château to use the ground in Yves-Gomezée while their own (sole) pitch was being equipped with a synthetic surface; another club who occasionally shared the ground with US Walcourt, but only for training purposes, was FC Clermont. Finally, in 2020, Walcourt's town council allowed the premises to be taken over temporarily by RFC Somzée, who have since used them for lower team football and training purposes.
