Netherlands, province: Guelders = Gelderland4 IV 2015 / vv DUNO - vv De Merino's 0-3 / Saturday League 2G (= NL level 6)
11 VI 2022 / vv DUNO - CVV Blauw Wit '34 6-2 / Zaterdag Hoofdklasse & Saturday League 1, promotion-relegation play-off QF (= NL levels 5 & 6)
Note 1: Voetbalvereniging (vv) DUNO from Doorwerth, founded in 1948, were named after the Duno estate, just outside of Doorwerth - although the club officially filed their name at the Netherlands' Football Association as an abbreviation, meaning 'Door Uithouding Naar Overwinning' (= "By endurance to victory"); the club should not be confused with its near-namesake HSV DUNO (DUNO in this case standing for 'Duinoord') in The Hague. For decades, vv DUNO - often referred to as DUNO Doorwerth or DUNO D. - played a modest role in the regional Saturday leagues in Guelders, but after being taken over by windmill magnate Arjen Ploeg, owner of 'Duno Air', in 2012, the club climbed up the league ladder at an impressive pace with four promotions in five years, finally reaching Hoofdklasse - the fifth tier of the Netherlands' football pyramid - in 2018.
