Timeline
  • 1921 / Foundation of AS (Association Sportive) Differdange, who first take part in competitive football from 1922 onwards. The ground at the current Rue du Stade Henri Jungers was the club's home soil from the foundation onwards.
  • 1928-1940 / In a spell of twelve years, AS Differdange has four separate seasons of top flight football, but on each occasion the club is condemned to relegation to the second tier after one year only.
  • 1940 / After the German occupation of Luxembourg, all clubs are forced to take on a germanicised name. AS Differdange become FK Rotstern Differdingen.
  • 1941 / After a conflict with German authorities, FK Rotstern Differdingen are forbidden to take part in Luxembourg's leagues. The club is radiated from Luxembourg's Football Association's membership list.
  • 1944 / Upon liberation, the club is founded anew under its old name, AS Differdange.
  • 2003 / After a rather anonymous existence in the lower leagues in the decades following the war, in which the club never again manages to reach Luxembourg's highest division, AS Differdange finally concludes a merger with its more successful town rival FA Red Boys Differdange, resulting in the foundation of FC Differdange 03 - often referred to with its name in Luxembourgian, FC DĂ©ifferdeng 03. While the new club's first team settles down at Red Boys' Stade du Thillenberg, AS Differdange's Stade Henri Jungers remains in use for lower team football and training purposes.
  • 2011 / Following the demolition of its own ground, Stade Municipal (Parc des Sports) in Obercorn, CS Oberkorn temporarily moves into Stade Henri Jungers.
  • 2012 / Upon the inauguration of its new Stade Municipal de la Ville de Differdange - incidentally built on the location of Obercorn's former Stade Municipal, FC Differdange 03 leaves Stade Henri Jungers. The club holds onto Stade du Thillenberg for lower team football and training purposes.
  • 2013 / CS Oberkorn leaves Stade Henri Jungers, moving onto Stade du Thillenberg. Eventually, in 2015, this club is given a new permanent home at Stade Woiwer, former C ground of FC Differdange 03.
  • 2013 / Stade Henri Jungers is knocked down to make way for a water basin.
