Timeline
- 1946 / Foundation of a football club in Well, a village in the Batavia region in the west of Guelders (not to be confused with the eponymous village in the north of the Province of Limburg). The new club, of which Karel van Diggelen becomes the first chairman, is given the name Wellse Sportvereniging (WSV) Well. A pitch is laid out for the club on the pastures of a local smallholder, Eim Bouman, at Nieuwendijk.
- ± 1947 / Moving away from Terrein Eim Bouman, WSV Well moves to a newly laid-out pitch, known locally as Terrein De Bult or Terrein De Zandbult.
- 1964 / Moving away from Terrein De Bult, WSV Well settles at its current ground at Maaijenstraat, later given the official name Sportpark De Hoef.
- ± 1987 / Replacing the original wooden clubhouse at the entrance of the ground at Maaijenstraat, a successor construction is erected in stone, flanked by a brand-new covered stand, built by local contractor and club sponsor, Mr Kraay.
- 1989 / Winning promotion from Afdeling Brabant Saturday Division 1, WSV Well accedes to District South I’s Saturday League 4 for the first time.
- 1992 / Finishing in joint first place in District South I’s Saturday League 4B with vv Sleeuwijk, WSV Well wins promotion to Saturday League 3 – either by clinching the title in a tie-break match of via the promotion play-offs.
- 1998-99 / In the two best seasons in club history, WSV Well manages two consecutive fourth places in District South I’s Saturday League 3D.
- 2002 / Finishing in second-last place in District South I’s Saturday League 3D, WSV Well suffers relegation into Saturday League 4 after ten seasons, along with bottom club vv Zuilichem.
- 2003 / Finishing in third place in District South I’s Saturday League 4D, WSV Well goes on to win the promotion play-offs, thus managing an immediate return to Saturday League 3.
- 2005 / Finishing bottom of the table in District South I’s Saturday League 3D, WSV Well drops back into Saturday League 4 along with the club in second-last place, SV BLC.
- 2014 / Finishing in fourth place in District South I’s Saturday League 4D, WSV Well qualifies for the promotion-relegation play-offs, in which the club knocks out vv Dubbeldam (za) in R1 (6-5 aggr.), only to be eliminated in R2 (final) by SV BLC (7-4 A.E.T.).
- 2024 / Finishing bottom of the table in District South I’s Saturday League 4H, WSV Well descends into the newly created Saturday League 5 along with SV NOAD ’32, ASH, vv Kerkwijk, and GVV.
