Timeline
- 1887 / Foundation of a football club in the town of Newburgh in Fife. The new club is given the name Tayside Albion FC. It is unclear where this club played its home matches in the first 23 years of its existence.
- 1910 / Tayside Albion FC changes its name to become Newburgh West End FC. That same year, the club settles at East Shore Park, the ground still in use by Newburgh Juniors FC today.
- 1935 / Probably due to the club joining the Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) this year, Newburgh West End FC assumes the new name Newburgh Juniors FC.
- 1937 / Newburgh Juniors FC conquer the East Fife Cup for the first time, going on to win this piece of silverware in 1966 and 1973.
- 1947 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Perthshire Junior League for the first time.
- 1949 / The club pavilion still in place today at East Shore Park is inaugurated on September 6th, 1949, in the presence of club president D. Rougvie and architect L.A. Rolland, as Newburgh Juniors FC takes on professional league side Dundee United FC in a friendly to mark the occasion (0-2).
- 1953 / Newburgh Juniors FC conquer the Fife Junior Cup for the first time, going on to win this piece of silverware again in 1962, 1965, 1967, 1970, and 1974.
- 1954 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Perthshire Junior League for the second time.
- 1955 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Perthshire Junior League for the third time – and for the second time in a row.
- 1956 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Perthshire Junior League for the fourth time – and for the third time in a row.
- 1957 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Perthshire Junior League for the fifth time – and for the fourth time in a row.
- 1961 / Newburgh Juniors FC conquer the Cowdenbeath Cup for the first time, going on to win this piece of silverware again in 1967 and 1976.
- 1962 / In the quarterfinal of the Scottish Junior Cup, in which Newburgh Juniors FC hosts Irvine Meadow FC, the club sees a record crowd of 3,960 flock to East Shore Park. Additional terracing is put in place to be able to host as many spectators as possible. Winning the tie, Newburgh qualifies for the semifinal, in which the club is knocked out by Renfrew FC (4-0).
- 1971 / Newburgh Juniors FC reaches the semifinal of the Scottish Junior Cup for the second time, suffering elimination at the hands of Cambuslang Rangers FC (4-0).
- 1973 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Fife League of the SJFA for the first time.
- 1977 / Newburgh Juniors FC crown themselves champions of the Fife League of the SJFA for the second time.
- 1985 / To honour the 22 years of service to the club of fullback James Cowie, who had joined Newburgh Juniors FC in 1963 from Orwell Thistle FC, Newburgh plays a testimonial at East Shore Park against a Fife Junior XI.
- 2006 / In a reorganisation of the Scottish Junior League, Newburgh Juniors FC is placed in the Central Division of the East Region.
- 2012 / As the Central Division of the East Region is abolished, Newburgh Juniors FC joins the North Division.
- 2018 / In a reorganisation of the Scottish Junior pyramid, Newburgh Juniors is placed in the Premier League South.
- 2020 / As the Scottish Junior pyramid is integrated into the non-league divisions of the regular Scottish FA, Newburgh Juniors FC joins the East of Scotland League, being placed in Division 1B, the seventh tier of the Scottish football pyramid.
- 2022 / In a reorganisation of the East of Scotland League, Newburgh Juniors FC is placed in Division 2, the eighth tier of the Scottish football pyramid.
- 2024 / Coached by Andy Healy, who took over as manager from Tony Mcaulay in the course of the season, Newburgh Juniors FC finishes in second-last place in East of Scotland Division 2, thus descending into Division 3 along with Ormiston Primrose FC and bottom club Edinburgh United FC.
