Timeline
  • 1963 / Foundation of a football club in Rièzes, a village on the French border in the far south of Belgium, in the so-called Botte du Hainaut. The club is given the name Union Sportive (US) Rièzoise, which acquires registration number 6627 upon being accepted as a new member of the Belgian Football Association (URBSFA / KBVB). It is unclear if, yet not improbable that, the club played its football on the pitch at Rue de Maubert, a stone's throw from the central square, from the outset. US Rièzoise starts its life as a competitive club in Hainaut's Provincial League 3.
  • 1968 / Runners-up in Hainaut's Provincial League 3D behind champions Baileux Sports, US Rièzoise wins promotion to Provincial League 2 for the first and only time of its existence.
  • 1969 / Finishing in second-last place in Hainaut's Provincial League 2C, US Rièzoise drops back into Provincial League 3 after one year only, along with bottom club JS Ham-sur-Heure.
  • 1971 / Finishing in second-last place in Hainaut's Provincial League 3C, US Rièzoise descends into Hainaut's Provincial League 4, a new bottom division created in 1970, along with bottom club and derby rivals FC L'Escaillère.
  • 1972 / US Rièzoise finishes as runners-up in Hainaut's Provincial League 4D, 2 points behind champions FC L'Escaillère.
  • 1973 / Runners-up in Hainaut's Provincial League 4F, 1 point behind champions US Virelloise, US Rièzoise wins promotion to Provincial League 3 due to extra promotion places being available, along with the champions and no. 3 finishers US Saint-Rémy.
  • 1979 / Finishing in second-last place in Hainaut's Provincial League 3D, US Rièzoise drops back into Provincial League 4 along with bottom club FC Mont-sur-Marchienne.
  • 1985 / In the best season in the last fifteen years of the club's existence, US Rièzoise finishes in ninth place in Hainaut's Provincial League 4H. In most other years, the club finds itself near or at the bottom of the league table.
  • 1995 / In the last season in club history, US Rièzoise finishes bottom of the table in Hainaut's Provincial League 4E with six points from 30 matches (goal difference -99). The club folds, ceasing all activities. The clubhouse at Rue de Maubert is taken over by the local archery club, Les Francs Archers de Chimay.
