Timeline

• 1937 / Foundation of a football club in Kumtich, which is given the name Union Sint-Gillis Kumtich. The club joins Belgium's Football Association under registration number 2721. It is unclear if USG Kumtich played its football at Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat from the outset.
• 1942 / In its first season with a regular first team, USG Kumtich wins the title in Provincial League 3D, thus acceding to Provincial League 2. In the following decades, the club alternates spells in P2 (1942-44, 1947-48, 1957-66) and P3 (1944-47, 1948-57), with titles being clinched in P3D in 1947 and P3E in 1957.
• 1966 / Winning the title in Provincial League 2B, Union Sint-Gillis Kumtich accedes to Brabant's Provincial League 1 for the first time.
• 1967 / In the best season in club history, USG Kumtich finishes in third place in Provincial League 1.
• 1970 / After four years in Provincial League 1, USG Kumtich drops out of Brabant's top provincial division following a fourteenth place in the 1969-70 season.
• 1971 / Finishing second-last in P2B, Union Sint-Gillis Kumtich suffers a second relegation in a row, suddenly finding itself in Provincial League 3. In the following decade, the club alternates spells in P3 (1971-73, 1976-81) with three seasons in P2 (1973-76).
• 1974 / USG Kumtich are joined at their ground by a ladies' football club founded in 1969 as Sportiva, renamed Jepita-Stars in 1970 and taking on the name Eva's Kumtich upon their being admitted to the official Belgian FA in 1974 (registration number 8220). In the following decades, Eva's Kumtich becomes one of the major forces in Belgian' ladies football.
• 1981 / Second-last in the final ranking of the 1980-81 season in P3A, Union Sint-Gillis Kumtich descends into Provincial League 4 for the first time in club history.
• 1987 / On its fiftieth anniversary, USG Kumtich acquires the royal epithet, thus officially becoming Koninklijke Union Sint-Gillis (KUSG) Kumtich.
• 1990 / Having spent the last nine seasons in P4, KUSG Kumtich now clinches the title in Provincial League 4F, thus acceding to Provincial League 3. The adventure at that level does not last longer than one season, though, with relegation to the bottom division following in 1991.
• 1994 / Following back-to-back titles in P4F (1993) and P3A (1994), K Union Sint-Gillis Kumtich suddenly finds itself in Provincial League 2 for the first time in eighteen years.
• 1999 / Runners-up in Provincial League 2B, KUSG Kumtich accedes to Brabant's Provincial League 1 after an absence of 29 seasons.
• 2000 / Bottom of the table at the end of the 1999-2000 season, KUSG Kumtich drops out of P1 at the first instance.
• 2003 / In its last season as an independent club, K Union Sint-Gillis Kumtich finishes in tenth place in P2A. Following the 2002-03 season, the club concludes a merger with FC Tienen, resulting in the foundation of Koninklijke Unie Sint-Gillis Football Club (KUSG FC) Tienen. With FC Tienen abandoning their (probable) groundsharing agreement with KRC Tienen at Terrein Elsenbosweg, all activities are moved to Kumtich's Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat. The new club starts its life in Provincial League 2, a level at which KUSG Kumtich already played and to which FC Tienen had gained access following the P3A title in its last season as an independent club.
• 2005 / In its last season under that name, KUSG FC Tienen finishes in fifth place in Provincial League 2B. The club changes its name to become Koninklijke Voetbalvereniging (KVV) Oorbeek-Kumtich, moving away to Oorbeek's Sportcomplex August Huon. Simultaneously, Voorwaarts Oorbeek United (registration number 6813), born one year previously following a merger of Voorwaarts Oorbeek and FC Neerwinden, moves to Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat in Kumtich under the newly adopted name of Tienen United. Also in 2005, the successful ladies' football club Eva's Kumtich is absorbed into KVK Tienen (registration number 132).
• 2006 / In its first season at Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat, Tienen United clinches the title in Provincial League 2B, thus acceding to Brabant's Provincial League 1. Also in 2006, VC Bost Tienen (registration number 5851) is absorbed into Tienen United, with the premises at Bost being abandoned.
• 2007 / Tienen United ceases all activities in the course of the 2006-07 season, withdrawing its first team from Provincial League 1. The club is wound up once and for all. It is unclear if the ground at Kumtich remained in use in the following years. 
• 2009 / KVK Tienen's ladies' branch prefers to continue independently, four years after having been absorbed into that club. Continuing independently under a new name, Damesvoetbalclub (DVC) Eva's Tienen, the club settles at another pitch in Kumtich, Terrein Maalderijweg. At some point in the following years, DVC Eva's Tienen moved from Maalderijweg to Sint-Barbarastraat, but it is unclear when exactly.
• 2013 / K Sparta Tienen (registration number 5044), which had hitherto played its football at Terrein Elsenbosweg in Tienen, changes its name to become K Sparta Kumtich-Tienen, moving its first team football to Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat in Kumtich. Terrein Elsenbosweg remains in use for lower team football and training sessions. 
• 2014 / In its first season at Sint-Barbarastraat, K Sparta Kumtich-Tienen wins the title in Brabant's Provincial League 4H, thus acceding to Provincial League 3.
• 2016 / For reasons which remain unclear, K Sparta Kumtich-Tienen abandons Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat, moving its first team football to Terrein Elsenbosweg. In 2017, this club concludes a groundsharing agreement with Crossing Vissenaken, into which it is absorbed one year later.
• 2018 / DVC Eva's Tienen abandons Terrein Sint-Barbarastraat, moving away to Sportcomplex August Huon in Oorbeek. Since, the premises in Kumtich have remained derelict.

• 1943 / Foundation of a football club in Bertem, a village halfway between Brussels and Louvain, which takes on the name Rapid Bertem, joining the Belgian Football Association under registration number 3948. The club may have been the continuation of an older club in the VVB (Vlaamsche Voetbalbond), which discredited itself to such an extent in World War II due to collaboration with the German oppressors, that many clubs left the association voluntarily. Whatever may be true of that, Rapid Bertem was placed in Brabant’s Provincial League 3. It is unclear where the ground of this club was situated.
• 1946 / Finishing in ninth place in Brabant’s Provincial League 3C, Rapid Bertem withdraws from first team football.
• 1947 / Following one year of inactivity, registration number 3948 of Rapid Bertem is erased from the Belgian FA’s official lists.
• 1953 / After a gap of six years, Rapid Bertem is re-established, with the phoenix club receiving registration number 5660 upon being admitted as a member of the Belgian FA. For the 1953-54 season, Rapid Bertem is placed in Brabant’s Provincial League 3. It is unclear if, yet probable that, Rapid Bertem played its football at Terrein Tervuursesteenweg from the outset.
• 1963 / Champions in Brabant’s Provincial League 3D, Rapid Bertem wins promotion to Provincial League 2.
• 1965 / In the best performance in club history, Rapid Bertem finishes in fourth place in Brabant’s Provincial League 2B.
• 1967 / Finishing bottom of the table in Brabant’s Provincial League 2C, Rapid Bertem drops back into Provincial League 3 after fourteen years.
• 1972 / Having finished as runner-up one year before, Rapid Bertem now clinches the title in Brabant’s Provincial League 3D, thus gaining promotion to Provincial League 2.
• 1975 / Finishing bottom of the table in Brabant’s Provincial League 2B, Rapid Bertem drops back into Provincial League 3.
• 1976 / Clinching the title in Brabant’s Provincial League 3D, Rapid Bertem manages a return to Provincial League 2 after just one season.
• 1977 / Equalling the best performance in club history of twelve years previously, Rapid Bertem finishes in fourth place in Brabant’s Provincial League 2B.
• 1987 / Finishing bottom of the table in Brabant’s Provincial League 2B, Rapid Bertem descends into Provincial League 3 after ten years.
• 2006 / In its last season as an independent club, Rapid Bertem finishes in tenth place in Brabant’s Provincial League 3E. Following the 2005-06 season, Rapid Bertem concludes a merger with local rivals, Provincial League 4 club VC Leefdaal Vooruit, resulting in the foundation of VC Bertem-Leefdaal, which retains Rapid’s registration number 5660; Leefdaal’s number 7598 is erased from the Belgian FA’s membership list. For the time being, while completely new facilities are constructed at Complex Sint-Veronica in Leefdaal, first team football moves to the ground of Rapid Bertem at Tervuursesteenweg. 
• 2007 / Following one season of first team football in Provincial League 3 at Terrein Tervuursesteenweg in Bertem, VC Bertem-Leefdaal moves the home matches of its flagship team to the renovated Complex Sint-Veronica in Leefdaal, where a new clubhouse with elevated grandstand has been erected. Terrein Tervuursesteenweg is retained for lower team football and training sessions.
• 2014 / The main pitch of Complex Sint-Veronica is laid out anew with a synthetic surface. Following this, the B ground of VC Bertem-Leefdaal at Tervuursesteenweg saw less and less action, with home matches of all teams being moved to Leefdaal.
• 2019 / Terrein Tervuursesteenweg is given up to make way for a building project, aptly named Rapid Bertem, with 40 apartments.

Note: FC de Gilly, founded in 1948, acquired the royal epithet in 1998. In 2021, the club moved their first team football to the ground at Rue des Vallées which had long housed their youth academy. The Stade Léopold Tibbaut was abandoned. Subsequently, Carolo Football, a local football youth academy not affiliated to Belgium's Royal Football Association was permitted by Charleroi's town council to take over the premises; in mid-2022, Carolo Football will join the Belgian Football Association after all, fielding a first team in Provincial League 4.
