Timeline
  • 1931 / Foundation of a football club in Goesnes, a hamlet in the north of the Province of Namur. This new club, Sporting Club (SC) Goesnes, acquires registration number 1821 upon being accepted as a new member of the Belgian Football Association (URBSFA / KBVB). It is unclear where the pitch of SC Goesnes was located.
  • 1933 / After an existence of only two years, SC Goesnes folds, ceasing all activities. Registration number 1821 is erased from the Belgian FA's official lists.
  • 1967 / Foundation of a new football club in Goesnes and the neighbouring hamlet of Jallet and Goesnes. The new club, which takes on the name Entente Sportive (ES) Jallet-Goesnes, joins Belgium’s Football Association with registration number 7044. It is unclear if, yet probable that, the club played its football on the pitch situated at Rue de Hodoumont in Jallet from the outset.
  • 2009 / In its last season as an independent club, ES Jallet-Goesnes finishes in fifth place in Namur’s Provincial League 3A – with no information being available about the Jallet’s performances in previous seasons, although it is clear the club never rose to a level higher than Provincial League 2. Following the 2008-09 season, the club concludes a merger with REFC Évelette, resulting in the foundation of Royal Excelsior Football Club (REFC) Évelette-Jallet, with Évelette’s registration number 1476 being retained. All activities move to Évelette’s Terrain Saint-Donat, with Jallet’s Terrain de la Rue de Hodoumont being abandoned.
