BELGIUM: RCS Schaltin (1942-±2000) / RCS Schaltin (B) (±2000-)

Stade Yves Delrée terrain 2, Schaltin Frisée (B pitch of RCS Schaltin, formerly main pitch of RCS Schaltin)

Belgium, province: Namur = Namen

April 2019 & July 2025 / no match visited

Timeline
  • 1942 / Foundation of a football club in Schaltin, which takes on the name Cercle Sportif (CS) Schaltin, joining the Belgian Football Association with registration number 3540. It is unclear if the club played its football on the pitch at Rue des Prés in Frisée, later renamed Stade Yves Delrée (although the plaque on the former clubhouse reads H. Delrée), from the outset. The club took part in Namur's provincial divisions from its foundation onwards, but the first 65 years of club history have been poorly documented.
  • 1992 / Upon the club's fiftieth anniversary, CS Schaltin obtains the royal epithet, thus officially becoming Royal Cercle Sportif (RCS) Schaltin.
  • ± 2000 / At some point, RCS Schaltin must have inaugurated its new main pitch, situated at the back of the original Stade Yves Delrée, probably around the turn of the century. Since, the old main pitch has remained in use for lower team football and training sessions.
