BELGIUM: FC Jehaytois (B) (±1988-1996) / RFC Jehaytois (1996-)

Stade Guy van den Steen, Jehay (RFC Jehaytois, formerly B ground of FC Jehaytois)

Belgium, province: Liège = Luik

7 IV 2022 / RFC Jehaytois - RFC Union La Calamine 0-3 / Liège, Provincial League 1 (= BE level 6)

Note: Football Club Jehaytois (matricule 5600; royal epithet acquired in 2003) probably played their football at a ground situated at Rue du Maréchal from their foundation in 1952 onwards. In the second half of the 1980s, the club had a second ground constructed at Rue du Saule Gaillard. As FC Jehaytois were given the opportunity to purchase the land at a very favourable price from its owner, Guy van den Steen (1903-99), Count of Jehay - and incidentally also one of his generation's most reputed sculptors! -, the new ground was aptly named after this local benefactor. In 1996, first team football moved to Stade Guy van den Steen. For the following sixteen years, the ground at Rue du Maréchal remained in use for training purposes and lower team football until finally being abandoned in 2012.
