Stade Louis Piérard, Frameries (formerly Sporting Club Frameries / Royal Sporting Bosquetia Frameries)
Belgium, province: Hainaut = Henegouwen
April 2022 / no match visited
Note 1: Sporting Club Frameries, usually referred to simply as Sporting Frameries, saw the daylight in 1939, obtaining membership of the Royal Belgian Football Association under matricule 2811. In their history, the club played one season of national league football, finishing 16th and last in National League 4B in 1963/64. In September 1988, following the demise of Bosquetia Football Club Frameries, Sporting's town rivals who had a spell of national league football in the 1960s and 1970s, a merger was concluded between the two clubs, resulting in the foundation of Sporting Bosquetia Frameries (retaining Sporting's matricule and acquiring the royal epithet in 1990). First team football was played at Sporting's Stade Louis Piérard - not to be confused with its exact namesake in Quaregnon -, while the club's youth academy was home at Bosquetia's Pavillon de la Garde. In 1991, however, all activies moved to the latter ground, as Sporting's stadium was taken over by the local rugby club, who still play their today. Since the installation of a 3G on one of the ground's side pitches, the stadium itself is rarely used for matches any longer.Note 2: Below, a compilation of photos of two different visits: picture 1 = October 2021 / pictures 2-11 = April 2022.
