NETHERLANDS: vv Rijpwetering (1976-1979) / ROAC '79 (1979-2010) / SV ROAC (2010-)

Sportpark Hertogspark, Rijpwetering (SV ROAC, formerly vv Rijpwetering / ROAC '79)

Netherlands, province: South Holland

10 IV 2022 / SV ROAC - SV Fortuna Wormerveer 1-3 / Sunday League 1A (= NL level 6)

Note: vv Rijpwetering played at Sportpark Hertogspark from their foundation in 1946 onwards, but the current sports complex was not constructed until 1976, with vv Rijpwetering obtaining the eastern half of the park (including the current main pitch) and VVOA from the nearby village of Oud-Ade the eastern half; up until that point, VVOA had played their football at a ground in Oud-Ade proper, occupied nowadays by allotment gardens. In 1979, a merger was concluded between the neighbouring clubs, resulting in ROAC '79 seeing the daylight - ROAC being an abbreviation of 'Rijpwetering Oud-Ade Combinatie'. Since, first team football has taken place at vv Rijpwetering's side of the park, while VVOA's main pitch was later occupied by a hockey club, HC Alkemade. In ±1992, a covered stand was added to ROAC's ground. Lastly, in 2010, ROAC '79 merged with the local gymnastics and handball clubs, Gyvero and OASE, to form SV ROAC.
