Timeline
  • ± 1979 / Foundation of a recreational football club in Maubray, a village in the Province of Hainaut, situated halfway between Tournay (Tournai, Doornik) and Péruwelz, with the new club being given the name Jeunesse Union Sportive (JUS) Maubray and Serge Durieux becoming its first chairman. The new club settles on a makeshift pitch laid out on a plot of land owned by a local smallholder, referred to locally as the Prairie de la Ferme de Morlies.
  • 1980 / JUS Maubray joins the Tournay-based recreational football association Entente Terrienne.
  • 1981 / Moving away from its initial pitch at the Ferme de Morlies, JUS Maubray settles on a newly laid-out pitch on a plot of land owned by Joseph Defoort at Rue des Français in the hamlet of Bouchegnies just north of Maubray proper, alongside the Mons-Tournay motorway. The new ground is inaugurated ahead of the 1981-82 season, in August 1981.
  • 1983 / Clinching the title in (Division 1 of?) the Entente Terrienne, JUS Maubray decides to take the leap to the regular Belgian Football Association (URBSFA / KBVB), acquiring membership with registration number 8887; the club is placed in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4 for the 1983-84 season. Tragically, in July 1983, the canteen and dressing rooms at the Terrain de Bouchegnies are consumed in a fire.
  • 1984 / The newly built clubhouse of the Terrain de Bouchegnies is inaugurated in May 1984.
  • 1986 / JUS Maubray finishes as runner-up in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4B, 8 points behind champions FC Frasnois.
  • 1993 / Finishing in fifth place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4B, JUS Maubray goes on to win the promotion play-offs, thus acceding to Provincial League 3 for the first time.
  • 1994 / Finishing in second-last place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3B, JUS Maubray drops back into Provincial League 4 after just one season, along with bottom club AS Baisieux.
  • 1995 / Champions in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4A, 1 point ahead of FC Ramegnies-Lamain, JUS Maubray manages an immediate return to Provincial League 3.
  • 1996 / Finishing in second-last place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3B, JUS Maubray descends into Provincial League 4, yet again after one year only, along with bottom club FC Chièvres 69.
  • 1997 / Runner-up in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4A, 2 points behind champions AC Estaimbourg, JUS Maubray wins promotion to Provincial League 3 – probably automatically, without play-offs, due to extra promotion places being available.
  • 1998 / In the club’s best season so far, JUS Maubray finishes as runner-up in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3A, 2 points behind champions SC Ramevinnes.
  • 2000 / JUS Maubray finishes as runner-up in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3A, 19 points behind runaway champions AC Estaimbourg.
  • 2002 / Finishing in thirteenth place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3A, JUS Maubray drops back into Provincial League 4, along with FC Etoiles d’Ère, FC Frasnois, and bottom club FC Esplechin.
  • 2009 / Runaway champions in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4B, 12 points ahead of closest followers RUS Beloeil B, JUS Maubray accedes to Provincial League 3 after an absence of seven seasons at that level.
  • 2011 / Finishing in fifth place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3A, JUS Maubray qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club bows out in R1 in a spectacular match against RFC Entité Enghien Sports (9-8).
  • 2012 / Champions in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3A, 3 points ahead of closest rivals FC Etoiles d’Ère-Allain, JUS Maubray wins promotion to Provincial League 2 for the first – and only – time in its history. Moreover, the club also qualifies for the Belgian Cup, suffering elimination in R1 against a P2 side from East Flanders, VC Eendracht Houtem (1-2).
  • 2013 / In the best performance in club history, JUS Maubray finishes in twelfth place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 2A.
  • 2014 / Finishing bottom of the table in Hainaut’s Provincial League 2A, JUS Maubray drops back into Provincial League 3, along with the club in second-last place, FC Béclers.
  • 2015 / Finishing bottom of the table in Hainaut’s Provincial League 3A, JUS Maubray suffers back-to-back relegations, descending into Provincial League 4 along with the club in second-last place, FC Ellezellois.
  • 2020 / In the 2019-20 season, cut short due to the first COVID lockdown in March 2020, JUS Maubray sits in fifth place in Hainaut’s Provincial League 4B after 19 of 28 matches played. In the 2020-21 season, the club no longer fields any competitive teams.
  • 2021 / In March 2021, with chairman Olivier Cliquet being the source of the information, news comes through of the demise of JUS Maubray, with the club folding and registration number 8887 being struck from the membership list of the Belgian FA. The Terrain de Bouchegnies at Rue des Français is taken over by a dog agility club.
  • 2023 / With the dog agility club leaving the premises, the Terrain de Bouchegnies is abandoned altogether.
  • 2026 / In September 2026, news comes through of the Terrain de Bouchegnies being taken over by AC Barry-Carrières for lower team football and training sessions, in addition to their main ground at Rue Bonneau in Barry proper. It is as yet unclear when the club will move into their B ground.
