BELGIUM: R Anhée FC (2000-)

Stade Jacques Colot - Rue du Petit-Bois, Anhée (R Anhée FC)

Belgium, province: Namur = Namen

31 III 2018 / R Anhée FC - FC Vencimontois 0-2 / Namur, Provincial League 2B (= BE level 7)

Timeline
  • 1936 / Foundation of a football club in Anhée, a village in the Province of Namur, situated on the boards of the Meuse south of Namur proper. The new club, FC Anhée, acquires registration number 2462 upon being accepted as new member of the Belgian Football Association (URBSFA / KBVB). A pitch is laid out for the club on the fields of Mr Chevalier at Chaussée de Dinant – not the later main pitch, but a pasture in the immediate vicinity of it.
  • ± 1939 / Being forced out of its ground at Chaussée de Dinant, FC Anhée finds a temporary solution on a pitch laid out on the pastures of G. Jacmart, beyond the fringes of the village.
  • ± 1942 / After concluding an agreement with the local St Joseph copper factory, FC Anhée is allowed to settle on a pitch at Chaussée de Dinant – destined to remain in use until the present day
  • 1987 / One year after its fiftieth anniversary, FC Anhée acquires the royal epithet, adapting its name to become Royal Anhée Football Club, abbreviated as R Anhée FC.
  • 2000 / A new ground is laid out for R Anhée FC at Rue du Petit-Bois, in fact at the back of the old ground at Chaussée de Dinant, which has been retained ever since for lower team football and training sessions.
  • 2010 / Finishing in second-last place in Namur’s Provincial League 2B, R Anhée FC drops back into Provincial League 3 along with R Dinant FC and bottom side Flavion Sport.
  • 2011 / Finishing as runners-up in Namur’s Provincial League 3C, 6 points behind champions RFC Natoye, R Anhée FC qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club is drawn in a group with SC Graide and Flavion Sport. Winning its match against the former (1-2) and drawing against the latter (1-1), Anhée just misses out on the group win, due to Flavion having defeated Graide more comprehensively (5-1). Due to one extra promotion place being available, Anhée gets to play a lucky loser play-off against the runner-up side of the other group, RUS Fossoise. However, with that match ending in defeat (4-2), Anhée just misses out on an immediate return to P2.
  • 2012 / Runners-up in Namur’s Provincial League 3C, 1 point behind champions RES Gesvoise, R Anhée FC qualifies for the promotion play-offs. Being drawn in a group with R Excelsior FC Moustier and FC Eprave, the club goes on to defeat both clubs (1-4 away win in Moustier, 2-0 home win over Eprave), resulting in promotion to Provincial League 2.
  • 2015 / Finishing in fifth place in Namur’s Provincial League 2B, R Anhée FC qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club is knocked out in R1 by Flavion Sport (1-2).
  • 2016 / Finishing in third place in Namur’s Provincial League 2B, R Anhée FC wins promotion to Provincial League 1 directly, due to extra promotion places being available.
  • 2017 / Finishing bottom of the table in Namur’s Provincial League 1, R Anhée FC drops back into Provincial League 2 after just one season, along with R Arquet FC and RFC Meux B.
  • 2019 / Anhée’s main pitch at Rue du Petit-Bois is renamed Stade Jacques Colot in honour of a former player (who broke into the first team in 1974), youth academy trainer, and board member, who passed away at a rather young age.
  • 2023 / Champions in Namur’s Provincial League 2B, 2 points ahead of runners-up R Stade Gedinnois, R Anhée FC wins promotion to Provincial League 1.
  • 2025 / Finishing in second-last place in Namur’s Provincial League 1, R Anhée FC descends into Provincial League 2 after two seasons, along with bottom side RJS Taminoise.
