Lieu-dit-le-Jas = Stade des Neuf Fauchées / Stade Richard Henry, Villers-devant-Orval (SC Villers-devant-Orval)
Belgium, province: Luxembourg
1 VIII 2019 / SC Villers-devant-Orval - ES Saint-Pierre 4-3 / Belgian Luxembourg, Provincial Cup - group stage, group M
Note: in the course of history, Villers-devant-Orval has had three successive football clubs, of which the first one, Excelsior FC Villers-devant-Orval (matricule 434), only existed for five years (1924-1929). In 1938, SC Villers-devant-Orval (matricule 2634) saw the daylight, which lasted sixteen years, folding in 1954. In 1962, the current club, with exactly the same name as its predecessor, but with a new matricule (6554), came into existence. In 1986, the pitch was moved several dozens of yards to the south west - to its current position, which is right on the border with France (cp. picture 2 below). In fact, the former French customs house (discernible behind the clubhouse in picture 11) is just a couple of yards away from the entrance to the ground - and the meadows which form the backdrop of the Stade des Neuf Fauchées are across the border as well. In October 2019, founding member and longtime volunteer Richard Henry passed away, upon which the ground was renamed after him.
