BELGIUM: SC Doorslaar (1975-2003) / SK Lokeren Doorslaar (2003-)

Doorslaardorp, Doorslaar (SK Lokeren Doorslaar, formerly SK Doorslaar / SC Doorslaar)

Belgium, province: East Flanders

7 XI 2021 / SKL Doorslaar - KSC Excelsior Mariakerke 1-1 / East Flanders, Provincial League 1 (= BE level 6)

Note: SC Doorslaar saw the daylight in 1973 as a merger between Racing Doorslaar and SK Doorslaar, two recreational clubs who played their football in the Catholic Football Association (KBS). In 1975, the current main pitch was inaugurated; until that time, SC Doorslaar (and SK Doorslaar before 1973) played their football on what is now the B pitch, behind the new clubhouse. The club became a member of the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1990 (matricule 9204). In 2003, SC Doorslaar concluded a merger with SK Lokeren (matricule 7187), forming SK Lokeren Doorslaar - nowadays often spelled simply as SKL Doorslaar. All football activities moved to Doorslaar's ground, whilst SK Lokeren's premises at Heilige Geestmolenstraat were abandoned and later taken over by FC Daknam.
