Belgium, province: Namur = Namen

27 XI 2021 / RES Couvin-Mariembourg-Fraire - RRC Stockay-Warfusée 0-0 / ACFF Division 2 (= BE level 4)

Note 1: FC Avenir Couvinois, founded in 1922, became a Société Royale in 1956. In 1992, the club concluded a merger with ES Mariembourgeoise, forming RES Couvin-Mariembourg (often abbreviated RESCM); from then on, first team football was played at Mariembourg's Stade Roi Soleil, while the ground in Couvin remained in use for lower team football and training purposes. In 2019, RES Couvin-Mariembourg absorbed JS Fraire, changing their name to become RES Couvin-Mariembourg-Fraire. The merger will be disentangled, however, in the summer of 2022, and the old name RES Couvin-Mariembourg will be reinstated. Since the summer of 2020, RES Couvin-Mariembourg-Fraire moved their first team football to Couvin due to floodlight failure at the ground in Mariembourg (and RESCMF preferring to play most of their home matches on Saturday evenings). The club had to wait for Couvin's town council to repair the damage until mid-2022.
