NETHERLANDS: AFC (2020-)

Sportpark Goed Genoeg III, Amsterdam (formerly AFC = Amsterdamsche Football Club)

Netherlands, province: North Holland

25 IX 2013 / AFC - SV Spakenburg 5-1 / Tweede Divisie (= NL level 3)

Note: Even though AFC, founded in 1895, have played their football at Sportpark Goed Genoeg from 1962 onwards, the main pitch shown in the pictures below did not come into use until February 2020 - and, partly due to the Covid lockdown, the official inauguration took place over one year later, in September 2021. In fact, this small stadium is the third main pitch AFC have constructed at Sportpark Goed Genoeg. This ground's predecessor, Goed Genoeg II, was constructed in 2007 to replace the original first team football pitch. The reason for the construction of Goed Genoeg III was the fact that, at the request of Amsterdam's town council, AFC's facilities were cut back from seven pitches to five - leading to an extensive reorganisation of the remaining area as a whole.
