27 II 2022 / RSC Anthisnois - R Harzé FC 3-2 / Friendly

Note: SC Anthisnois was not the first club in the village of Anthisnes. First, there was Antinac FC, founded in 1916 and affiliated to the Belgian Football Association from 1918 onwards; in 1922, however, Antinac FC folded. Two years later, FC Anthisnois saw the daylight, playing their football in the Ligue Wallonne de l'Ourthe, but ceasing all activities after just one season, allegedly following a grave injury inflicted on one of their players. Finally, Sporting Club Anthisnois was founded in 1929, obtaining matricule 1608 at the Royal Belgian Football Association. The royal epithet was acquired in 1957; that same year, Anthisnois acceded to Provincial League 1 for the first time, a level at which the club played for many years between the 1950s and the late 1990s. The most famous match SC Anthisnois ever played was on April 2nd, 1956, when they received Sint-Truidense VV in the seventh round of the Belgian Cup, losing 1-3 in front of a crowd of 3639 (!) paying spectators. The club have played at their current ground from 1936 onwards - with the exception of a short spell during World War II when football was played at the Terrain de la Grigette. Before their move to the Stade El Va, Anthisnois' activities took place successively at two different grounds, known locally as Aux Six Maisons and Aux Stepennes.
