Note: Inaugurated in July 1953 after five years of construction works, the Stadion der Freundschaft in Frankfurt (Oder) was the home ground of Sportgemeinschaft (SG) Dynamo Frankfurt, renamed Fussball-Sportgemeinschaft (FSG) Dynamo Frankfurt in 1966. For seven years in the 1960s, they were joined by Sportclub (SC) Frankfurt, a club founded by GDR authorities with the goal to replace Dynamo Frankfurt, but which, in 1969, was absorbed into the latter. In 1971, in another whimsical GDR sports authorities decision, FSG Dynamo Frankfurt was moved away from Frankfurt (Oder) and moved to the provincial town of Fürstenwalde, renamed SG Dynamo Fürstenwalde. As their replacement in Frankfurt, FC Vorwärts Berlin - the most successful club in the GDR in the previous decade with six national league titles between 1958 and 1969 - became FC Vorwärts Frankfurt and settled down at Stadion der Freundschaft. Markedly less successful than in their East Berlin era, the club's best achievement in the GDR Oberliga was a second place in 1982-83. Relegated to the second tier in 1988, the club managed a comeback in the Oberliga in 1990 - and in the last season of GDR football, were refounded with a new name, FC Victoria 91 Frankfurt. Integrated, like all other East German clubs, in the Federal Republic of Germany's league system in 1991, the club - renamed Frankfurter FC (FFC) Viktoria 91 (commonly referred to as FFC Viktoria Frankfurt) in 1992 - sank away into non-league obscurity. Finally, in 2012, a merger was concluded with MSV Eintracht Frankfurt (Oder), resulting in the foundation of 1. FC Frankfurt (Oder) E.V. (Eintracht Viktoria). In 2012-14, the Stadion der Freundschaft was renovated, most notably entailing the construction of a new main stand.
