FRANCE: Avenir Longlaville (1936-2016) / AS Saulnes-Longlaville (B) (2016-)

Stade de la Frontière, Longlaville (B ground of AS Saulnes-Longlaville, formerly Avenir Longlaville)

France, department: Meurthe-et-Moselle

October 2010 & August 2022 / no match visited

Note 1: Avenir Longlaville, founded in 1936, merged with Club Sportif (CS) Saulnois in 2016, forming Avenir Sportif (AS) Saulnes-Longlaville, often referred to with the acronym ASSL. After the merger, first team football moved to Saulnes' Stade Christian Salari, while Longlaville's ground remained in use for lower team football and training purposes. Remarkably, the stadium in Longlaville is no more than several yards away from France's border with Luxembourg; note that, in between my two visits, the small covered stand opposite the main stand was removed (cp. photos below).

Note 2: Below, a compilation of photos of two different non-matchday visits: pictures 1 & 9-11 = October 2010 / pictures 2-8 & 12-14 = August 2022.
