Sportpark Van den Wildenberg, Goirle (RKVV VOAB, later renamed SV VOAB = Van Onderaf Begonnen)
Netherlands, province: North Brabant
24 V 2019 / SV VOAB - Solomon Islands 1-3 / Friendly
Note 1: RKVV Juliana, founded in 1929, took on the name RKVV VOAB in 1937. In 1957, the club moved into their current ground, initially simply called Gemeentelijk Sportpark, later renamed Sportpark Van den Wildenberg. In 1981, the Roman Catholic epithet was dropped from the club name, as RKVV VOAB became SV VOAB.
Note 2: In 2019, a Dutch philantropic society sponsored the national team of the Solomon Islands by donating free flights and accommodation for a training camp in the Netherlands in order to prepare for the upcoming Pacific Games; a Dutch coach, World Cup final legend Wim Rijsbergen, was hired and a set of practice games was arranged, amongst which the fixture in Goirle shown in the photos below.
