Timeline
- 1949 / Foundation of SC (Sporting Club) de Neffe. Upon joining Belgium's Football Association, the club receives matricule 5156.
- ±1999 / At or around its 50th anniversary, SC Neffe must have obtained the royal epithet, thus becoming RSC (Royal Sporting Club) de Neffe.
- 2019 / Winning the play-off final in Provincial League 2 against RS Fernelmont-Hemptinne comprehensively (6-1 aggregate score, second leg attended by me - cp. photos below), RSC Neffe accedes to Namur's Provincial League 1 for the first time in the its history. Due to the premises in Neffe being rather small, the club concludes an agreement with R Dinant FC to allow its first team's home matches in P1 to take place at Dinant's Stade de la Citadelle. The pitch in Neffe remains in use for lower team football and training purposes.
- 2020 / RSC Neffe concludes a merger with AL Lisogne-Thynes, forming RUS (Royale Union Sportive) Dinantaise, with Neffe's matricule 5156 being retained. The new club's first team football continues to be played at Stade de la Citadelle. RUS Dinantaise has the luxury of having three other grounds for lower team football and training purposes; apart from Neffe's Stade André Quinet, Lisogne-Thynes' pitches at Chemin des Sarts, Loyers and Rue Barbion, Thynes, remain in use as well. RUS Dinantaise's B squad as well as the majority of the club's youth academy settles at Loyers.
- 2022 / Due to a disagreement between R Dinant FC and RUS Dinantaise, the former rescinds the groundsharing agreement, refusing RUS Dinantaise access to Stade de la Citadelle. In a new arrangement, RUS Dinantaise moves its first team football to Neffe, while the B team settles at Thynes and the youth academy remains in Loyers. The state of the pitch in Neffe not being deemed fit for first team football at the start of the season, though, the club starts its P1 campaign at Chemin des Sarts in Loyers. In October, the move to Neffe is finally made.
- 2023 / At the behest of Dinant's municipal authorities, RUS Dinantaise is allowed to move its first team back into Stade de la Citadelle.
