Note: VK Were Di and VK Gouden Leeuw are recreational clubs from Stekene, both playing their football in Walivo (Waas Liefhebbersvoetbal), a league of clubs from the Waasland region not affiliated to the Royal Belgian Football Association. As it turns out, Were Di and Gouden Leeuw both have a relatively long history, with the former being founded in 1971 and Gouden Leeuw three years later - Gouden Leeuw being the name of a local pub. Both have always played their matches at Noortgaever. The current clubhouse used to be an elementary school, being given its current purpose later onwards. The original locker rooms, at the other end of the ground, now serve as an equipment storage room (cp. photo 11 below). Apart from Gouden Leeuw and Were Di, the ground is being used by Veteranenvoetbal Stekene (VVS), a recreational club not taking part in any league, sticking to just playing friendlies.
