Timeline
  • 1946 / A first football club is founded in Poupehan, Elan Sportif (ES) Poupehannais (registration number 4362).
  • 1948 / ES Poupehannais folds, ceasing all activities.
  • 1949 / A new club sees the daylight in Poupehan, Elan Sportif (ES) de Poupehan (registration number 5917).
  • 1952 / Like its predecessor and near-namesake, ES Poupehan holds out no longer than just a few years, ceasing all activities after the 1951-52 season.
  • 1973 / In December 1973, a group of eight men co-founds a third club in Poupehan after a gap of over 20 years. Elan Sportif Club (ESC) Poupehan obtains membership of the Belgian Football Association receiving registration number 8109. This club first takes part in Belgian Luxembourg's provincial league system in 1974-75.
  • 1997 / For the first time, ESC Poupehan manages to win promotion from Provincial League 3, the lowest level of the pyramid in Belgian Luxembourg. For the next 25 years, with the exception of 1999-2000, the club plays in Provincial League 2.
  • 2022 / With most of the players of the club's first - and only - team leaving, ESC Poupehan's long-time president Alex Debune is left with no other option but to cease activities for the time being. In the meantime, neighbour clubs CS Corbion and R Standard FC Bouillon have let Bouillon's town council know they are interested to use the ground at Lieu-dit Dessous la Ville for training purposes.
  • 2024 / After two years of inactivity, ESC Poupehan sees its registration number 8109 being erased from the Belgian FA's official lists.
