Timeline

• 1976 / Foundation of recreational club FC De Klinkaert. The club plays its football at Sportterrein De Klinkaert from its foundation onwards.
• 1988 / FC De Klinkaert accedes to the Antwerp branch of KAVVV (Koninklijke Algemene Vereniging van Vriendenclubs), a large recreational football association. It is unknown in which league the club competed before (anyone able to provide additional information is welcome to contact me!)
• 2007 / FC De Klinkaert ceases all activities.
• 2010 / Foundation of Nielse SV, a breakaway club of FC Apollo-Nielse (matricule 9446). Nielse SV joins the Belgian Football Association under matricule 9546 - the club name being a reference to the old K Nielse SV, a club from Niel who played in the national leagues for 18 seasons between 1931 and 1964. Barred from playing at Stadion Hellegat in Niel, the new Nielse SV of chairman Bart De Troetsel settled down at Sportterrein De Klinkaert.
• 2012 / FC Apollo-Nielse folds, upon which Bart De Troetsel takes over Stadion Hellegat.
• 2013 / Following renovation works at Stadion Hellegat, Nielse SV moves into this ground in January 2013, thus abandoning the pitch at De Klinkaert in Reet. 
• 2014 / Refoundation of FC De Klinkaert.
• 2022 / FC De Klinkaert moves from Sportterrein De Klinkaert to Gemeentelijk Terrein Boom - Beukenlaan, a pitch on the other side of the same park where Boom's Gemeentelijk Parkstadion is situated. Bereft of a football team, the pitch at De Klinkaert is turned into a sheep pasture.
