Belgium, province: Flemish Brabant
7 VIII 2022 / Fenixx Beigem Humbeek B - KVK Wemmel B 7-3 / Brabant VFV, Provincial Cup for B teams
Timeline
- 1907 / Foundation of Humbeek Football Club (FC).
- 1909 / Humbeek FC joins the Belgian Football Association.
- 1926 / Introduction of the matricule system; Humbeek FC obtains matricule 39.
- 1926 / For the first time, Humbeek FC reaches the national league level, maintaining itself for four seasons (1926-30) in 'Promotion' or 'Bevordering', at the time the third and lowest level in the national league pyramid.
- 1943 / After an absence of 13 years, Humbeek FC manages to win promotion to the third national level once again, maintaining itself in Promotion for four years (1943-47) - although it must be pointed out that the 1944-45 season was never disputed due to the chaotic situation in Belgium during the last months of German occupation of Belgium and the first months of liberation.
- 1950 / Humbeek FC obtains the royal epithet, thus becoming Koninklijke Humbeek Football Club or K Humbeek FC.
- 1961 / For a third time, the club accedes to the national leagues, playing in National Division 4 for two seasons (1961-63).
- 1969 / Abandoning its old ground at Dijkstraat, K Humbeek FC moves into the newly inaugurated Gemeentelijk Stadion at Sint-Rumoldusstraat - Nachtegaallaan. The clubhouse and stand in the pictures below were part of the original set-up. Some 10 years later, the ground is given a new lay-out with the addition of an athletics track.
- 1970 / The club manages a new promotion to National Division 4, but again the spell lasts no longer than a few years. In 1973, relegation back to Brabant's Provincial League 1 follows.
- 1981-82 / K Humbeek FC plays one last season in National Division 4.
- 1987 / Relegation from Brabant's Provincial League 1; in the following decades, the club sinks away further into the abyss of the lowest provincial levels.
- 2017 / After years of football in the anonymity of Provincial Leagues 3 & 4, K Humbeek FC concludes a merger with Provincial League 1 side FC Borght (matricule 9501), forming KFC Borght-Humbeek, retaining Humbeek's matricule 39. Henceforth, the ground in Humbeek is used just for the new club's youth academy, while first team football exclusively takes place at Populierendal in Borgt.
- 2022 / Following five stable seasons in Provincial League 1, KFC Borght-Humbeek merges with FC Beigem (matricule 7753), resulting in the foundation of Fenixx Beigem Humbeek (unofficially referred to as Fenixx BeigHum) under matricule 39. With first team football moving to Beigem's ground at Parklaan (in the early months of 2023) and Borgt's Populierendal being abandoned, the ground in Humbeek remains in use for lower team football and training purposes.
