Timeline
  • 1934 / Foundation of a football club in Itegem, FC Itegem, which joins Belgium’s Football Association with registration number 2151. FC Itegem’s first pitch is situated at Molenheide.
  • ± 1935 / In or around 1935, FC Itegem abandons Terrein Molenheide, settling at Terrein Herenthoutsesteenweg.
  • 1939 / Abandoning Terrein Herenthoutsesteenweg, FC Itegem settles at Terrein Hooiweg – later referred to mostly as the Hooiwegstadion. In the years after the war, probably some time in the 1960s or 1970s, the club acquired the luxury of two extra pitches across the road from the stadium, at Rozendaelstraat, which were used for lower team football and training sessions.
  • ± 2004 / Marred by financial difficulties, KFC Itegem abandons its Hooiwegstadion, which it rents from a private owner, instead moving first team football to its nearby youth ground at Rozendaelstraat, a municipal property.
  • 2005 / Finishing in third place in P3B, only 3 points behind champions K Schelle Sport, KFC Itegem goes on to win a ticket for Provincial League 2 in the promotion play-offs.
  • 2006 / Finishing in thirteenth place in P2B, KFC Itegem drops back into Provincial League 3 after just one year, accompanied by KVV OG Vorselaar, FC Berlaar-Heikant, Sporting Tisselt, Zennester Hombeek, KV Bonheiden, KFC Tongerlo, KFC Linda Olen, and bottom club K Zandhovense SK – the number of retrograded club being so large because three Provincial League 2 series were reduced to just two in a minor league pyramid reform.
  • 2009 / Finishing in thirteenth place in P3C, KFC Itegem descends into Provincial League 4 along with KFC Excelsior Bouwel, FC Excelsior Kessel, VV Leest, KFC Herenthout, KSC Mechelen, and KFC Heultje.
  • 2013 / In its last season, KFC Itegem finishes bottom of the table in P4D, losing its last-ever match at home against SK Hezewijk 1-2, with Hezewijk scoring the winning goal deep into extra time. Following the 2012-13 season, the club folds, ceasing all activities In the following year, Terrein Rozendaelstraat is being made use of occasionally by KFC Molenzonen Hallaar and KSC Wiekevorst for their training sessions.
  • 2014 / Terrein Rozendaelstraat is taken over by KSK Heist, which abandons their training ground at Dophei in Pijpelheide. Ever since, Terrein Rozendaelstraat has been in use as a training facility, mainly for the club’s first team.
