Timeline
  • 1913 / Foundation of Sportkijnclub Veurne. It is unclear where the ground was situated where the club started its life, nor when the move to Terrein Ieperse Steenweg was made.
  • 1919 / Sportkijnclub Veurne takes on the new name of Sportvereeniging (SV) Veurne.
  • 1926 / Belgium's Football Association introduces its list of registration numbers in December 2006, with SV Veurne receiving number 80.
  • 1939 / SV Veurne obtains the royal epithet, thus becoming Koninklijke Sportvereniging (KSV) Veurne.
  • 1965 / With the club’s pre-1957 history remaining unclear – but with the certainty that the club never reached the national divisions in the first 42 years of its existence – KSV Veurne now finishes in fourteenth place in West Flanders’ Provincial League 2A, resulting in the club dropping back into Provincial League 3.
  • 1968 / Finishing in thirteenth place in P3A, KSV Veurne descends into West Flanders’ Provincial League 4 for the first time.
  • 1969 / Champions in P4A, KSV Veurne manages an immediate return to Provincial League 3.
  • 1978 / Champions in P3A, KSV Veurne wins promotion to Provincial League 2.
  • 1982 / Runners-up in P2A, KSV Veurne accedes to West Flanders’ Provincial League 1, probably for the first time in club history.
  • 1984 / In what is probably the best season in club history, KSV Veurne finishes in third place in West Flanders’ Provincial League 1.
  • 1985 / Second from bottom in P1, KSV Veurne drops back into Provincial League 2.
  • 1994 / Second from bottom in P2A, KSV Veurne drops back into Provincial League 3. Also in 1994, the club moves from its old ground at Ieperse Steenweg to the newly built Will Tura-Sportpark, a facility hosting various sports clubs - including MAC Westhoek, an athletics club. It is unclear if Terrein Ieperse Steenweg remained in use for lower team football and training sessions for some more time subsequently.
