• 1996 / In Cognebeau, a hamlet in the countryside south of Soignies (Zinnik) in Belgium, a non-profit organisation is founded, Léon de Cognebeau, a non-profit organisation whose purpose is to promote sporting activities such as football, running, and walking, while also facilitating other activities, such as dog agility training. The football pitch of Léon de Cognebeau at Chemin des Aulnées hosts a club formed in the same year, FC Cognebeau, but, unusually, this club never joined any league. Instead, the pitch in Cognebeau seems to have been used for recreational matches only, as well as for training sessions of other local clubs.
• 2016 / With major works being undertaken at the ground of FC Casteau at Rue de Lens, this club moves its footballing activities to the Terrain de l'Avenue des Espinois in Maisières, with part of the training sessions being moved to the Terrain du Léon de Cognebeau.
• 2017 / In December 2017, upon completion of the works on the ground of FC Casteau, this club moves all its activities back to Rue de Lens, abandoning the grounds in Maisières and Soignies / Cognebeau alike.
