Timeline
  • 1970 / Foundation of a football club in Ciergnon, a village near the eastern border of the Province of Namur. The new club, which takes on the name Racing Club (RC) Ciergnon, joins Belgium's Football Association, acquiring registration number 7419 upon being accepted as a new member club. Most probably, RC Ciergnon played its home matches on the pitch situated at Route de Rochefort from the club's foundation onwards.
  • 2008 / With the history of the club prior to this year having been poorly documented, it is clear that RC Ciergnon played its football in Provincial League 4 in the 2008-09 season.
  • 2014 / Runners-up in Namur's Provincial League 4F, 11 points behind runaway champions US Bohannaise, RC Ciergnon qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club finishes bottom of the table in a group of three following defeats against ES des Frontières (1-3) and ES Boninne (4-2).
  • 2023 / In what, in retrospect, was the last competitive season in club history, RC Ciergnon finished in thirteenth place in Namur's Provincial League 4D. Although being placed in the same division for the 2023-24 season, RC Ciergnon ceased its activities rapidly in the course of that season - leading to the end of the club's existence.
