Timeline
- 1969 / Foundation of a football club in Vechmaal, a village in the far south of Belgian Limburg, close to the language border. The new club takes on the name FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal, acquiring registration number 7334 upon being accepted as a new member of the Belgian Football Association. The club, which most probably played its football at Terrein Onze-Lieve-Vrouwstraat (later renamed Terrein De Verschrikking) from the outset, starts its life in Provincial League 3, the lowest step of Limburg's provincial divisions at that time.
- 1981 / Finishing in fourteenth place in Limburg's Provincial League 3C, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal descends into Provincial League 4 for the first time.
- 2001 / Having played in Provincial League 4 for the twenty past seasons, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal now clinches the title in Limburg's Provincial League 4E, thus winning promotion to Provincial League 3.
- 2003 / Finishing in fourteenth place in Limburg's Provincial League 3D, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal drops back into Provincial League 4 after two years.
- 2011 / Finishing in fourth place in Limburg's Provincial League 4D, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club is knocked out in R1 by Eendracht Sint-Joris (ESJ) Alken (1-6).
- 2018 / Champions in Limburg's Provincial League 4B, 5 points ahead of closest rivals K Stormvogels Rosmeer, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal wins promotion to Provincial League 3.
- 2019 / In the best season in club history, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal finishes in fourth place in Limburg's Provincial League 3C.
- 2024 / Finishing in third-last place in Limburg's Provincial League 3C, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal has to save its skin in a set of relegation play-offs against the teams in fourteenth place in the two other P3 series, SK Moelingen and K Achel VV B. However, with the latter refraining from competing in the tie-break competition and accepting relegation, Vechmaal and Moelingen were assured of safety, making their mutual encounter superfluous. Bolstered by a host of new players, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal made a flying start to the 2024-25 season in Provincial League 3C, obtaining 21 points from the first nine matches. However, due to financial difficulties, the club folds at the end of October 2024, ceasing all activities.
- 2025 / In spite of earlier plans, FC De Zwaluw Vechmaal does not manage a restart in Provincial League 4. As a result, the club's registration number 7334 is erased from the Belgian FA's official lists once and for all.
