Timeline
- 1973 / In Gozée, a village some 10 km to the south of Charleroi, a football pitch surrounded by a gravel track are laid out at Rue Emile Vandevelde, on the lands owned by the Home Familial – later renamed Institut Royal Familial – a residential community for people with disabilities. The pitch is laid out to enable the handicapped inhabitants of the home as well as disabled people from elsewhere to practice sports at their own level. To this end, a sports club is formed, the so-called Club Omnisports Les Dauphins. The football pitch is not used for regular league football, not even in a recreational competition.
- 1977 / The Club Omnisports Les Dauphins is officially recognised by the ADEPS (Administration de l’Éducation physique, du Sport et de la Vie en Plein Air), the sports administration of Belgium’s French-speaking Community.
- 1999 / The Club Omnisports Les Dauphins is officially renamed Le Relais to avoid confusion with Les Dauphins, as the newly founded home for disabled grown-ups at the Institut Royal Familial is named.
- 2001 / The sports club, renamed Le Relais in 1999, now reverts to part of its old name, becoming Club Omnisports. In the following years, regular provincial league club RFC Gozéen (renamed RRFC Gozéen after obtaining the royal epithet in 2006) is allowed to make use of the Terrain des Dauphins as well for lower team football and occasional training sessions.
- 2023 / After some years of not using the ground at Rue Emile Vandervelde, RRFC Gozée (as RRFC Gozéen was renamed in 2020) returns to the Terrain des Dauphins for occasional lower team matches and training sessions.
